We were all week keeping an eye on the reports and had one place in mind for the Sunday. Lucky enough the swell increased a bit and the winds stayed WNW. We pulled into Lahinch and it was about 2-3 foot winds were onshore and looked like hard work so we kept moving. When we arrived it was at low tide you could see the swell lines rolling in and there was a small wave hitting the slab but it was just a bit too shallow. Recently a buddy of mine brought myself and two of my surf family to a new spot. This place was picturesque. When we arrived the winds were light and northerly which is perfect offshore for this spot. Yea the place was going off about shoulder to head high and had great shape. This was the first time that I was going to surf this place so there was an element of anticipation and fear of the unknown. Finished work at 4:30 on Tuesday the reports for Lahinch were saying 3-4ft.I was half way down and I got a call telling me to hurry that it was 4ft clean.I seem to have timed it perfect. The tide was fully in at 9 o clock I was in the water by 6 o clock. When I arrived the reefs were pumping Cornish was going off at about 4ft and was real glassy. Had a great day of surfing the West Coast. We took off down the west on Monday 12.04 We had been keeping an eye on the reports all week. There was a big swell to kick in in the afternoon. We started off in Doolin about 11 o clock and this place was on fire. We surfed Doolin point for about an hour and a half. It was just over head high and clean out back.
